Take in the fantastic movie theming around the resort such as giant statues of characters from 101 Dalmatians, Toy Story, Fantasia, The Mighty Ducks and The Love Bug! Out of the three All-Star Resorts this hotel has the most Disney feel to it.

Guest Rooms

Guest Rooms average $173 a night on the date of publishing this article although room rates can vary based on time of year. Rooms at this resort are 260 square feet and can sleep up to 4 adults and a child in a crib. 

The recently refurbished rooms come with either 1 king bed or 1 queen and 1 queen-size table bed, that folds up into the wall to give more space when not in use.

The décor is basic yet sleek and contains artwork featuring classic Disney characters. The rooms don’t have the bold theming that the exterior of the buildings have.

All Resort Hotel rooms come with mini fridges, coffee makers, plus iron and ironing boards. There are options for accessible rooms as well.

This resort has both standard and preferred rooms on offer. Preferred rooms are closer to the lobby, restaurant and Disney transportation. The preferred rooms at this resort are in the Fantasia, Toy Story and 101 Dalmatians sections.

What is the difference between preferred rooms and standard rooms at Disney All Star movie resort?

The Preferred rooms are located closer to the main building of the resort. These rooms are closer to transportation, dining and shopping, pools, and the food court.

Which buildings are preferred at All Star Movies?

Building 1, Building 5, Building 8, Building 9, and Building 10 are all considered preferred rooms. Building 1 is 101 Dalmatians, Buildings 5 & 8 are Fantasia buildings, and Buildings 9 & 10 are Toy Story Buildings.

Transportation

The only transportation from All-Star Movies to the Disney Parks or Disney Springs are the Disney buses. Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort do not have Skyliner Access for transportation. It is a 20 minute bus ride from All-Star Movies Resort to EPCOT and buses run about every 20 minutes. Plan on at least 40-60 minutes to get to EPCOT especially if there are long lines for the buses.

World Premiere Food Court

***The food court will be closed for refurbishment for the entire month of July 2024. Guests will still be able to place mobile orders through the My Disney Experience App.

There is one restaurant at All-Star Movies Resort called World Premiere Food Court. This quick service dining location is set up like a food court. There are 5 sections, each selling different foods, and a large seating area. 

The food on offer is family-friendly fast food, such as burgers, pizza, pasta and salad. If you all want different things to eat you may have to queue up multiple times at the different stations. 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served here.

Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar

Located outside the Fantasia Pool, this poolside bar offers drinks and snacks to enjoy at the bar or by the pool. Offerings include charcuterie, chips, Mickey Pretzels, strawberry fruit bar, salads, and a turkey sandwich.

Does All-Star movies have a secret menu?

A fun offering at this restaurant is getting to see the secret menu. Visit the Roxy’s section and ask for the secret menu. A briefcase will be brought to you which contains a viewfinder that shows you all the secret menu items!

Shops

There is one shop at this resort, Donald’s Double Feature, which sells souvenirs, toiletries and basic pharmacy items plus snacks.

All-Star Movies Resort is great for people looking for a value resort that has been recently updated, rooms that offer more space with the addition of the fold-away bed and fantastic Disney theming!

Pools

There are two themed pools at All-Star Movies Resort. The Fantasia Pool is the main pool and also has a water play area nearby for children. This pool features sorcerer Mickey. The Duck Pond pool is The Mighty Ducks and hockey themed and is the quiet pool.

There are no hot tubs or slides available at value resorts.

Fantasia-Themed Pool

**The Fantasia Pool at All-Star Movies Resort will be closing in January 2025. If you plan to visit this resort from January 2025 until April 2025, the main pool will be closed to guests for refurbishment. Guests are encouraged to use the Duck Pool instead and may hear construction noise.

Activities

A range of activities are available at this resort. 

• There is a jogging trail that is 1 mile long and winds around the All-Star Resort complex. This is good for jogging or for walking.
• There is a children’s playground between the Fantasia and Toy Story sections.
• There is an arcade in the main building called Reel Fun Arcade.
• Movies Under The Stars is where Disney films are shown in the evening outdoors for you to enjoy at The Reel Spot. Check with the front desk for information about which movies will be shown during your stay.

• All Star Movies Campfire Activities: Make smores between buildings 5 & 8 near the Fantasia Pool at 6:30 and 7:30 every night.
• “Hey Disney” is now in the All Star rooms, your Magical Companion. Order towels, hear a message from Mickey, get jokes, and play trivia with this new electronic device.

Additional Benefits

Laundry Room

There is a laundry room on property near the Duck Pond Pool where guests can use the washers and dryers. If you have accidents and need clean clothes you are covered. You can also save money on luggage if you are flying to Florida by bringing less clothes with you and planning to do laundry.

Early Theme Park Entry

This has become a huge perk with the addition of Genie+. Guests can save money by using the early access to the parks. On property resort guests including All-Star Movies guests can enter the parks 30 minutes before they open. This used to be known as Rope Drop and is now an on property perk that can help you save money and avoid paying for Genie+.

Do the rooms in All Star movies have refrigerators?

All Star Movies rooms have beverage coolers to keep soft drinks and water cold during your stay. 

Do All-Star Movie rooms have microwaves?

All-Star Movies rooms do not have microwaves in the room and do not have microwaves upon request. Guests can use the microwaves at the World Premiere Food Court.

Disney’s All-Star Resorts can be a great options for families looking to visit Walt Disney World on a budget. They are a value resort without the perks of a Moderate Resort or Deluxe Resort, but still offer Disney Magic. The theming appeals to families with young kids.

All Stars tends to be the cheapest resort and has been newly renovated. The downside is there is only bus service and no skyliner access like the other value resort options.
