Calling all sports fans! This Disney resort hotel is for you! All Star Sports Resort Disney World has giant replicas of sporting items, such as helmets, footballs, baseball bats and tennis rackets.

The sporty theming is really fun and makes you feel like you are on a tennis court or football field! You also get to see statues of Disney characters, such as Huey, Dewey and Louie, playing sports!

The buildings at this resort are themed after five different sports: baseball, basketball, football, tennis and surfing. This resort is perfect for sports fans on their Walt Disney World Vacation.

Disney’s All Star Sports Resort is located near the other two All-Star Resorts, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. What is the Theme of Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort?

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort has a sports theme featuring giant sports statues from football, tennis, surfing, basketball, and baseball. You will find Tennis Balls, Giant Football Helmet, Large Surfboards by the pool, and basketball hoops.

This is the type of theming you will find in each of the buildings.

Guest Rooms

Just like Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, guest rooms average $173 a night on the date of publishing this article although room rates can vary based on time of year.

There are two room types at this resort: standard and preferred rooms. All rooms are 260 square feet and have 2 double beds and are suitable for 4 adults and one child in a crib. 

The rooms include a mini fridge, coffee maker, and iron and ironing board. There are options for accessible rooms as well.

The rooms are the same size and layout as All-Star Movies and have similar block color décor. Some of the Disney artwork includes Disney characters playing different sports to be in keeping with the resort theme. The rooms have a 90’s feel which can give a great retro vibe!

Preferred rooms are located in blocks 1,6,7, 10. Preferred rooms are closest to the lobby, restaurant and Disney transportation and are great for people who would like to be close to the resort amenities. 

Standard Room

This is a bare room with a view of the courtyard, pool, or parking area. The standard room can be 1 king bed or queen bed with an additional queen-size table bed (Murphy bed). What is the difference between preferred rooms and standard rooms at Disney All Star Sports resort?

The Preferred rooms are located closer to Stadium Hall. These rooms are closer to transportation, dining and shopping, pools, and the End Zone Food Court.

Which buildings are preferred at All Star Sports?

Building 1, Building 6, Building 7, and Building 10 are all considered preferred rooms. Buildings 1 & 6 are Surf’s Up, and buildings 7 & 10 are Touchdown! from the football theme.

Transportation

The only transportation from All-Star Movies to the Disney Theme Parks or Disney Springs are the Disney buses. 

Is All-Star Sports on the Skyliner?

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort do not have Skyliner Access for transportation. If you are looking for Skyliner Access at one of the Disney Value Resorts, consider Disney’s Pop Century or Disney’s Art of Animation linked below.

Do you have to pay to park at All-Star Sports?

Parking is now free for guests at all Disney properties as of January 10, 2023. All-Star Sports has overnight self-parking only.

How long does it take to get from All-Star Sports to Magic Kingdom?

It is a 25 minute bus ride from All-Star Sports Resort to Magic Kingdom and buses run about every 20 minutes. Plan on at least 45-65 minutes to get to Magic Kingdom especially if there are long lines for the buses.

End Zone Food Court

There is one restaurant at All-Star Sports Resort called End Zone Food Court. This quick service restaurant is similar to all the other All-Star Resorts and has 5 stations to choose from. The stations offer dining options that all serve traditional fast food type cuisines such as burgers, pizza, pasta and salads. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Located outside the Surfboard Bay Pool area, this poolside bar offers drinks and snacks to enjoy at the bar or by the pool. Offerings include drinks, salads, and sandwiches.

Does Disney All-Star Sports have free breakfast?

All-Star Sports does not have complimentary breakfast. None of the Walt Disney World resort hotels offer free breakfast unless you stay at a club-level room at an eligible resort.

There is one store available called Sport Goofy Gifts & Sundries. Shop here for Disney World souvenirs and snacks plus any toiletries you may have left at home. Basic pharmacy items are also sold here.

Activities and Amenities

Pools

There are two pools at All-Star Sports Resort. The Surfboard Bay is the main pool and has giant surfboards around the outside of the pool! There is also a water play area nearby for children to enjoy.

The Grand Slam Pool is the quiet pool and is shaped like a baseball diamond. You will also find a statue of Goofy here that shoots water at you! 

Grand Stands Spirits Pool Bar can be found at the Surfboard Bay pool and is a great place to get some drinks to relax with.

Activities

Like the other All-Star Resorts the activities at this hotel include a jogging trail, a children’s playground, an arcade, Movies Under The Stars plus its own activities schedule with activities specifically for this resort. Check out the My Disney Experience App for the details of the resort.

  • There is a jogging trail that is 1 mile long and winds around the All-Star Resort complex. This is good for jogging or for walking.
  • There is a children’s playground near the Touchdown! building.
  • There is an arcade in the main building, Stadium Hall, called Game Point Arcade.
  • Movies Under The Stars is where Disney films are shown in the evening outdoors for you to enjoy outside the Surfboard Bay Pool at 8:30pm. Check with the front desk for information about which movies will be shown during your stay.
  • Also check out the activities schedule for this resort when you arrive. This gives you the timings and a full list of the activities on offer at your resort.
  • All Star Movies Campfire Activities: Make smores between buildings 7 & End Zone Food Court at 6:30 and 7:30 every night.
  • Find table tennis, giant chess, and giant checkerboard for guests to play outside the pool area.
  • “Hey Disney” is now in the All Star rooms, your Magical Companion. Order towels, hear a message from Mickey, get jokes, and play trivia with this new electronic device.

The All-Star Sports Resort is a great choice for smaller families and groups, sports enthusiasts and people who love the 90’s vibe!

Laundry Room

There is a laundry room on property near the Grand Slam Pool where guests can use the washers and dryers. If you have accidents and need clean clothes you are covered. You can also save money on luggage if you are flying to Florida by bringing less clothes with you and planning to do laundry.

Early Theme Park Entry

This has become a huge perk with the addition of Genie+. Guests can save money by using the early access to the parks. On property resort guests including All-Star Sports guests can enter the parks 30 minutes before they open. This used to be known as Rope Drop and is now an on property perk that can help you save money and avoid paying for Genie+.

Do the rooms in All Star Sports have refrigerators?

All Star Sports rooms have beverage coolers to keep soft drinks and water cold during your stay. 

Do All-Star Sports rooms have microwaves?

All-Star Sports rooms do not have microwaves in the room and do not have microwaves upon request. Guests can use the microwaves at the End Zone Food Court.

Disney’s All-Star Sports is a great value option for Sports fans. Any of the 3 All-Star Resorts offer low prices for an on property resort. All-Star Sports is a great option if you are deciding between the three All-Star Resorts.

Unfortunately, none of the All-Star Resorts offer skyliner access that you can find at Disney’s Pop Century or Disney’s Art of Animation. Both of those resorts are also in the value category and do offer Skyliner access.
